This ain’t living baby.
Just say the word and I’ll be right back on my way.
In need of sunshine lately.
Can I lay in bed until this weather fades?
And trust me girl, I feel you.
This cold shit don’t feel right we got to move.
But every time I see you, my body warms up fine and gets me in the mood.
I know.
I got to get a move on.
I keep it real strong.
I got get it down.
And my flow.
Is chiller than this tempo.
I got to make that rent though.
I got to make it now.
So come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on baby.
Just a few more weeks until we make it through.
And I know I know I know I know I know lately.
This shitty weather makes it hard to move.
You can find me on the west side.
Where we’ve been working all night.
We just want that sunshine.
We just want that good life.
This ain’t working baby.
Turn on the heat and let it flow into the room.
Its wearing down my patience.
Cause when its cold outside I can’t feel nothing too.
And every time I need you.
This weather makes us crazy I know it gets you too.
But trust me girl I feel you.
There’s nothing better than that sunshine on our roof.
And I know.
I picked Brown Study purely for the Jens Lekman vibes. However, this entire album just gets more comfortable with every listen. This might be a niche take, but to me it's as if singer/songwriter Jens Lekman turned his hand to dream pop and trip hop while taking the rhythmic vibes of Cigarettes After Sex and dialing them up to "waking up in the morning after sex" tempo. It's a sonic trip is all I can say. riotgrrrl_meg
Winter McQuinn mixes soft rock and psychedelic folk for a sound reminiscent of classic pop purveyors like Cut Worms and the Lemon Twigs. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 16, 2024
A truly stunning album that mentally transports you to foggy early morning streets, the pavement wet from recent rains. Dreary, but in a comforting way. Like sitting next to a window during a rainstorm, listening to the drops hit the glass while remaining warm. Never fails to make me feel safe. Crow Yo
