I’m feeling.
Things that I.
Haven’t felt.
Like my body type.
I’m doing.
My work outs high.
I’m floating by.
Like an ocean’s condensation through a cloudy sky.
My boys and I.
Just living life.
And I never thought I’d say this but I’m feeling fine.
I try.
I try.
I try.
To say what’s on my mind.
Watch me.
Take it slow.
Feeling low.
Like a body roll.
Versace had to go.
But she vintage though.
So wear me out and fold me over like you’ve done before.
How can I get it when I want it backwards?
How do you front it when they want the masters?
How is my flow any different than rappers?
I’m just talking fast.
But I’m thinking slow.
And my body knows to say what’s on my mind.
I picked Brown Study purely for the Jens Lekman vibes. However, this entire album just gets more comfortable with every listen. This might be a niche take, but to me it's as if singer/songwriter Jens Lekman turned his hand to dream pop and trip hop while taking the rhythmic vibes of Cigarettes After Sex and dialing them up to "waking up in the morning after sex" tempo. It's a sonic trip is all I can say. riotgrrrl_meg
The Philadelphia group sharpen their hooks and internal dyanmics for a fun and non-dorky take on power pop anyone can get behind. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 26, 2024
A truly stunning album that mentally transports you to foggy early morning streets, the pavement wet from recent rains. Dreary, but in a comforting way. Like sitting next to a window during a rainstorm, listening to the drops hit the glass while remaining warm. Never fails to make me feel safe. Crow Yo
