I’m too high.
My mood dies.
Can I feel this type of way?
I’m too tired to move on.
Watch my feelings as they fade.
And I don’t want to go back to this place where I just left it.
Got me too down to have fun now but I’m just saying.
And that’s just how it goes.
Sometimes.
And everybody knows.
You tried.
To do what you must do.
In time.
Just letting yourself know.
You’re fine.
I feel it on the inside.
Doing most things that I don’t like.
Working too much that I’m crossed eyed.
Got my feelings all wrong on a bad night.
And I don’t want to go back to this place where I just left it.
Got me too down to have fun now but I’m just saying.
And that’s just how it goes.
Sometimes.
And everybody knows.
You tried.
To do what you must do.
In time.
Just letting yourself know.
You’re fine.
I picked Brown Study purely for the Jens Lekman vibes. However, this entire album just gets more comfortable with every listen. This might be a niche take, but to me it's as if singer/songwriter Jens Lekman turned his hand to dream pop and trip hop while taking the rhythmic vibes of Cigarettes After Sex and dialing them up to "waking up in the morning after sex" tempo. It's a sonic trip is all I can say. riotgrrrl_meg
